About Us

The Maldives Ocean Alliance is a diverse coalition working for the conservation and restoration of the country’s marine environment. Our network of NGOs, scientists, advocates and private sector practitioners coordinates research, conducts outreach and education, and provides a collective voice as we work together to actively protect and promote ocean health for wildlife and people.

The Maldives Ocean Alliance was established by the Maldives Coral Institute in August 2024 to coordinate a unified response to key threats facing the country’s marine ecosystems.
